The vision of HBS is to become the leading business school in India by mentoring value-driven leadership. In order to achieve the same, HBS is in the process of enriching the existing MBA program to make it more relevant to the corporate expectations, career aspirations of the students and above theses to make it socially relevant by creating leaders of tomorrow who can appreciate values and ethics.  

HBS is deliberating with industry & academic experts to identify a value proposition for MBA program at HBS for quite some time. We the faculty members also had intensive brainstorms, discussions and deliberations on many occasions on this. These deliberations have revealed that high level of integrity, leadership skills, domain knowledge & skills, industry readiness, managerial excellence and entrepreneurial agility are the most important value dimensions of an MBA program to make it more relevant to the stakeholders.   

Having identified a value proposition for MBA Program, HBS has initiated organisational changes to effectively offer the value to the students. Six strategic imperatives such as Culture, Academics, People, Infrastructure, Industry Interaction and Social Out Reach are identified and are being worked on to align them to achieve the vision of HBS.

Culture – To create a culture that appreciates values, ethics, people and foster real learning. 

 Academics – To create a challenging, supportive, practical and rigorous academic ecosystem to facilitate students in acquiring domain expertise and managerial competency to perform well in the future roles as executives and entrepreneurs. 

People – To make people have an attitude for teaching & learning, respect to others, compassion, ethics and integrity by creating an effective mentoring system and focus on continuously improving the competency of faculty to bring in behavioural and professional transformation among the students.  

Infrastructure – To create a functional world-class infrastructure to support all requirements of the program. 

Industry Interaction – Better industry institute interaction to foster bi-directional spillover of knowledge, practices and to fill the gap in the MBA program. 

Social Out Reach – Reaching out to society through the students to make them socially responsible and as ethical leaders  

HBS strongly believes that strong focus on the above discussed objective and pursue will make its MBA program a unique among its kind in this part of the country. However, there are miles to go before HBS can reach that destiny. With a challenging journey ahead, HBS welcomes constructive opinions and suggestions from all its stakeholders to make the journey meaningful…
