The Students’ Grievance Redressal Committee attempts to address the genuine problems and complaints of students in HBS. Students may approach the committee to voice their grievances regarding academic matters, hostel, library, mess, or any other services provided at HBS.

HBS Grievance Redressal Committee aims to promote and maintain a conducive and harmonious educational environment among the students. Any student with a genuine grievance may approach the members of the committee directly. In case the student is unwilling to appear in person, the grievance may be dropped in writing in the grievance box or can be sent through email. The committee will formally review all the cases and ensure that the grievance is properly resolved in a stipulated time. Immediate actions will be taken for complaints of alleged discrimination of students or any type of harassment and victimization of a student, if found genuine. The Grievance Redressal Committee is constituted to probe into the student grievances and address genuine problems and complaints of students whatever be their nature.

Objectives

The major objective of the Grievance Committee is to develop a responsive and accountable attitude among all the stakeholders in order to maintain a harmonious educational atmosphere in HBS. Towards this the committee aims:

  • To help the students to lodge their complaints and solve their problems related to academics, support facilities, student resources and personal grievances freely without any fear
  • To ensure an effective solution to the students’ grievances with an impartial, fair, and transparent resolution process
  • To prevent non-transparent and unfair practices
  • Advising students of the institution to respect the rights and dignity of one another and show utmost restraint in case of any rift.

Redressal Procedure

Complaints / grievances can be emailed to director@hbs.ac.in or dropped in the grievance box kept in the main building for this purpose.
