Summer Internship

Summer Internship is a life changing experience for students of Hallmark Business School. It is indeed the most effective way through which a fresher understands of the real work scenario and problems. It consists of understanding the organization and industry in depth & detail, identifying the business problem, research and recommending the solutions and working closely in the chosen domain. The rigor and standards the institutes demand from each student for the internship is high. We encourage and insist students to go out of their state of domicile and to join organizations that could provide them a great learning experience. Faculty members are regularly sent to various organizations in the middle of two months long internship to review the progress and also to meet with the Mentors in organizations to guide the students effectively. With the aim of hiring as full time employee on completion of course, many reputed organizations have been conducting recruitment process at the institute to select first year students as interns for April-May period. Students are given adequate training and orientation by the faculty and industry expert to easily accustom to the requirement of organization.

Employability is about much more than just getting one’s first job – it’s about having a positive self-image and presenting oneself successfully throughout the life and career. The skills, knowledge and personal attributes and the ability to convey them effectively all contribute to one’s employability.
HBS interface between students, faculty, and the corporate world to initiate continuous interaction with the industry, sharing the industry experiences, understanding industry needs and providing the required support to the corporate world. HBS emphasizes on holistic knowledge and growth of students in all spheres of today's fast paced world. The objective is to help HBS Students to interact with the employees from various organizations & learn from them the real work scenario; experiencing from the experienced. Our aim is to utilize the skills, knowledge and experience of the industry professionals to develop the key employability skills in the students and make them prepared for the work world. The sessions also aid the transition from students/graduates to successful employees.
To nurture the entrepreneurship skills required to become a successful entrepreneur, HBS also arranges entrepreneurship enrichment interactions by successful entrepreneurs, each of whom is an icon in his own right field.
Intellectually stimulating interactions from the Doyens of the industry, will make the students highly employable & the support held out by HBS for this extends beyond the classrooms. At the end of an academic year, our students will be ready to hit the ground running and embark on their exciting and rewarding careers.

Industry Visits & Concurrent Field Work

Industry Visits

HBS' MBA programme has widely been recognized by the industrial fraternity for its delivery of the course and the practical orientation and real time exposure given to the students. The core strength, the industrial exposure, by way of the field work training/industry visit has given the programmes a differentiating advantage over the other institutes' degrees. This has been made possible by the co-operation and the personal interest shown by the staff of the organizations involved in training and molding our students and in bringing about a turnaround in their prospective careers. Students are sent to companies in batches accompanied by members of the faculty.

Concurrent Field Work

As part of the experiential learning provided to our students through field work exposure, we organise scheduled concurrent field work for every batch. Concurrent Field Work is an opportunity given to our HR students in their third Trimester to get real time exposure of an HR department by spending one day every week in an organization.

We send our students for this field work on Saturdays. We expect the students to learn at the grass root level, the operational functions of an HR department through observation, reading, interaction and active involvement in the day to day functioning of the HR department as guided by the respective reporting official of the organisation they are placed in. We believe this combination of theoretical input of five days with one day practical exposure will make the students competent to deliver value to the organisation from day one of their career.

The memberships with these associates are absolutely free for Rajagirians. Through our associates, students are given the unique opportunity to take part in all their regular activities viz; Management Conventions, Lecture Meetings & Panel Discussions, Award ceremonies, Women's /Management Students Forum etc . These activities have been given the much needed impetus through a variety of activities such as Business Quizzes, Business Plans Contests, Industry training programs and HR training & management development programs. These associations help our students to Network with HR professionals, foster entrepreneurship skills, and build potential business relationships and partnerships.
